HOW IT WORKS

Step 1:
CONSULTATION

Meeting with you and the head of your finance team to understand your organization’s goals and needs, and the current composition of your finance team.

Step 2:
SKILLS ASSESSMENT

On-site meetings with your finance team and other key stakeholders in the organization to develop a skills matrix, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of your team and most significant areas for development.

Step 3:
CUSTOMIZED TRAINING PROGRAMS

Based on the skills matrix developed and your organization’s capacity, creation of a customized training program for your team.

Step 4:
IN-CLASS TRAINING

Hands-on, interactive training, which includes case studies and real life examples.

Step 5:
ASSESSMENT AND PERSONALIZED FEEDBACK

Review and final assessment, ensuring concepts taught have been internalized. Individual feedback provided to each member of your team for continued professional growth.

OUR TRAINING PROGRAMS

Our programs are broken out into three levels, in modular format which allows for customization, to ensure the best, most effective program for your team.

Level 1: Critical Professional Skills

Introductory course teaching the essentials for any finance professional, including, both soft skills and finance fundamentals. Soft skills include the efficient use of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, etc.) and effective communication tactics. Finance fundamentals set the foundation for future development and include the basics of financial accounting and management reporting and understanding internal controls. Delivery method is class room based, in small groups.

Level 2: Accounting Fundamentals and Bookkeeping Best Practices

Intermediate course reviewing accounting fundamentals and teaching best practices for accurate and effective bookkeeping, including the month-end close process and the creation of comprehensive financial statements. Delivery method is classroom based, in small groups and includes case studies and real life examples.

Level 3: Advanced Accounting and the Keys to Successful Controllership

Advanced course preparing finance professionals for advancement into leadership roles within the finance function. Material includes complex accounting standards, developments and monitoring of key performance indicators, effective internal controls and soft skills for becoming a successful manager. Delivery method is classroom based, in small groups and includes case studies and real life examples.
